Tri-View Metropolitan

Hi neighbors,

We’ve noticed there’s been some confusion over time about what Jackson Creek Filing #5 HOA is responsible for versus what TriView handles. To clear things up: the HOA doesn’t own any property. Paiute Park, the roads, trails, road islands, areas along the streets, and all the gray-shaded areas on the map (on the next page INCLUDE) belong to TriView.

TriView is managed by its own elected Board of Directors, and they take care of maintenance in those areas. The HOA doesn’t have authority over TriView’s property, so if you have any concerns about those spaces, please contact TriView directly at 719-488-6868.

Please visit TriView’s  website at www.colorado.gov/triviewmetro for more information as it’s a great resource! For example, their District Policies explain how they handle maintenance like snow removal.

One common question at our annual meeting was about snow removal around common mailboxes. According to their policy:

  • If a common mailbox is on a sidewalk next to a homeowner’s property, that homeowner is responsible for shoveling snow at the mailbox, following the Town of Monument ordinance.
  • If the mailbox is in a TriView-maintained area, like a park, TriView staff will clear the snow around it.

Many homeowners also ask why the HOA doesn’t plow streets or why snow sometimes gets pushed into driveways. Those are all TriView’s responsibilities, and their website explains their plowing schedule and procedures, including why they focus on the center lanes.

They even have a handy FAQ section that answers a lot of common questions. We encourage you to check out their policies for more details.
